Bisbino Swiss Gin
In 2016, Martino Mombelli, Giona Meyer, Rupen Nacaroglu and Damiano Merzari decided to make the first gin from Ticino. After choosing Sagno and the mountains around the Muggio Valley as their base, Carolina Valsangiacomo joined in 2019. Since the beginning, Bisbino has worked in partnership with local producers in the area, keeping their vision of sustainable economy and responsible consumption.
There are two gins produced under the Bisbino label, Gin Bisbino and Gin Bisbino Ginger Dry both flavoured with Juniper berries, Coriander, Orange peel, Elderberry flowers. The Gin Bisbino recipe has aromatic herbs and flowers grown at the foot of Mount Bisbino giving it a pleasant, fresh and delicate taste, while Ginger Dry is drier, less herbaceous and with spicy final notes.
