Our curated roundup of local news & events for wine tourism
Hello,
Three weeks in and I have to say this year has taken an unexpected turn! The amount of industry I have seen over the last couple of weeks is encouraging, whether its restaurant and bar owners fighting to keep their shops alive or others turning to new ways of marketing, hospitality folks……….is not dead!
I’ve been taking little trips outdoors to get supplies or to meet friends that I’m interested in working with but generally keeping safe. Not a lot to do for a Wine Consultant in a country with an alcohol ban in place. I do hope that this is temporary, but in the mean time I have started adjusting my focus & am looking at a new flight plan (internal giggle at my feeble attempt at a travel joke) on where to go from here. The only way is up I guess.
In the spirit of this, I’m glad to say this weeks newsletter has some hospitality champions & successes from all over Cape Town and the surrounds.
- Shirley
