Food Pairing With Creation Wines
When the debate about what food to eat with what wine, the idea of "what grows together, goes together" is almost a given. This is the topic Carolyn Martin, co-owner of Creation Wines, writes about in her latest newsletter. The idea of having lightly steamed crayfish tail on a freshly baked sourdough roll with a glass of Creation Chardonnay while sitting on Langbaai Beach is a celebration of the terroir.
Creation is close to Walker Bay, with cool Atlantic breezes that play a pivotal role in creating the elegant wines produced on the farm. in 2019, the Overstrand/ Hermanus areas awarded UNESCO Creative City status for Gastronomy, paying tribute to the passion and skill of the local crafts people and makers. All the wines produced on the farm are a continuation of this homage, from Chardonnay to Sauvignon Blanc to Pinot Noir.
