Tesselaarsdal's Stellar Wines
Located about halfway between Caledon and Stanford is a small town called Tesselaarsdal, a town that Berene Sauls decided to name her farm and wines after. Born and raised in the small village, Berene started her wine career as an au pair to the Hamilton Russell Family before becoming fascinated with the delicate process of turning grapes into wine.
Fifteen years later, with the help of the Anthony Hamilton Russell, Berene started buying grapes from Babylon vineyards on the Hemel & Aarde Ridge until her own vineyards are ready to be harvested. Wines produced under her Tesselaarsdal label have already gathered numerous awards under her direction from everyone who knows, Tim Atkins, Greg Sherwood and our own Christiaan Eedes.
